Manufacturers, importers, and distributors are each obligated to guarantee the safety of products imported into Japan from overseas. In order to comply with these obligations, YOTSUBA TRADING submits product samples to reputable institutions to ensure that there are no problems with ingredients, and only products that are safe in terms of both quantity and ingredients are delivered to consumers.

Cosmetics, in particular, are regulated in detail by the Pharmaceutical Affairs Law, which requires licensed manufacturers to notify the government in advance of import customs clearance.

YOTSUBA TRADING carefully inspects each and every imported product to ensure that it is delivered to our customers safely and securely. We inspect not only the exterior for scratches, but also the mirror inside and the contents before delivering the product to the consumer.

In addition, our Japanese-language ingredient labels are attached to our products as proof of their reliability.※Some products, such as those purchased domestically, may have labels other than ours.

Products that have to be unwrapped for inspection are repackaged using a shrink-wrapping machine if possible. The products are carefully stored in a controlled cabinet where room temperature and light are regulated.

In this way, once the goods have passed through import customs clearance and sales, they are promptly delivered by a domestic distributor either nationally or internationally.
